Untuk semua "SAHABAT-SAHABAT" ku

Sejak meninggalkan sekolah, dah lame giler aku tak menghayati ilmu Balaghah, menyelami kiasan dan sindiran yang bersembunyi dan terselit disebalik "Kinayah" dan "Majaz". Sekian lama aku tak lagi memaksa otak kanan mendasari maksud puisi-puisi yang tertulis dalam kitab "Adab A'rabi". Sejak habis SMA, memang dah tutup kitab. 

Tetiba hari ni aku rasa rindu terhadap keindahan sastera Arab yang adakalanya tertalu tinggi sampai aku tak faham "apa yang dia nak cakap" sebenarnya, walaupun dah jenuh aku selak Kamus Marbawi dengan harapan aku akan memperoleh pengertian untuk memahami maknawi yang tersirat disebalik majazi yang tersurat...

Pagi ni aku happy sgt sbb tetiba aku terjumpa satu Arabic Poem yang sangat straight to the point dan siap ade english translation lagi beb. Maka aku pun copy + paste sebagai dedikasi buat semua pembaca & sahabatku sekalian. Maudhu' atau tajuk poem ini ialah الصديق الحقيقي = the true friend = sahabat sejati

Who is he...the true friend...and does such a friend exist in this time

هو الصديق الذي تكون معه, كما تكون وحدك اي هو الانسان الذي تعتبره بمثابة نفسك
He is the one that you act like yourself around, he is the person that you consider like yourself

هو الذي يقبل عذرك و يسامحك أن أخطأت و يسد مسدك في غيابك
He is the one that accepts your apology, forgives you when you make a mistake, and takes your place in your absence

هو الذي يظن بك الظن الحسن و أن أخطأت بحقه يلتمس لك العذر ويقول في نفسه لعله لم يقصد
He is the one that always thinks of you well, and if you wrong him makes excuses on your behalf, telling himself perhaps he didnt mean it..

هو الذي يرعاك في مالك و أهلك و ولدك و عرضك
He looks after your money, your family, your parents, your honour

هو الذي يكون معك في السراء و الضراء و في الافراحِ و الأتراحِ و في السعةِ و الضيق
و في الغنى و الفقر
He is the one thats stands with you in thick and thin, in happiness and sadness, in rich or poor

هو الذي يؤثرك على نفسه و يتمنى لك الخير دائما
He is the one that favours you over him, the one that wishes the best for you always

هو الذي ينصحك اذا راى عيبك و يشجعك اذا رأى منك الخير ويعينك على العمل الصالح
He is the one that advises you when sees your faults, praises you when sees your good qualities, and helps you maintain your good work

هو الذي يوسع لك في المجلس و يسبقك بالسلام اذا لقاك و يسعى في حاجتك اذا احتجت اليه
He is the one that makes space for you in a gathering, beats you with a greeting when he meets you, and works hard when you need him

هو الذي يدعي لك بظهر الغيب دون ان تطلب منه ذلك
The one that prays for you without you asking him too

He is the one that loves you for God's sake, without materialistic or other gain

Is the one that benefits you with his work, his deeds, his manners

هو الذي يرفع شأنك بين الناس و تفتخر بصداقته و لا تخجل من مصاحبته و السير معه
He is the one that makes you feel important and proud of his friendship, and your not embarrased with his friendship or to be seen with him

هو الذي يفرح اذا احتجت اليه و يسرع لخدمتك دون مقابل
He is the one that is happy when you need him and runs to your aid without asking for anything to gain

Wishes for you what he wishes for himself

تغير مفهوم هذه الكلمة في زماننا واصبحت هناك صداقة واحدة تسمى* صداقة المصالح
*there seems to have been a slight change in understanding this word these days, true friendship has been replaced with the another one called friendship you can gain from.
